In 1924 Alfred Ernest Allen, a teacher, built a house 'Alfheim' designed by Gordon Leith at 7 Anerley Road and he and then his heirs lived there until after 1967. In 1987 the property was in the name of P H Joubert. In 1924, a Mr J H Younger built a house designed by H W Spicer at 9 Anerley Road. By 1928 the house was sold to Mrs A Wilkins and in 1937 it was in the name of Mrs E B Aitken. In 1946, it was in the name of Mrs N B G Grant and by 1950 it had been demolished for a new house designed by Gordon Leith for the Grant family. In 1987 it was owned by Mrs N B Sunderland. Both the Leith houses were demolished for the new building which was at one stage occupied by First Link and by Crawford College.
