The Angles Parktown

In 1912 Israel Hayman commissioned Baker and Fleming to design the house as a gift to his bride. Hayman, an attorney, served with Marshall's Horse in Natal and was wounded at Acton Holmes near Spionkop. He returned to his unit and fought throughout the war, retiring with the rank of lieutenant. He received both Queen's and King's Medals with seven bars. (Blue plaqu inscription)
