Transvaal Chinese United Club Mansions Ferreiras Dorp

Founded in 1909 by the small pioneering Chinese community, the club offered rooms for newcomers as well as attractive social amenities. Funds were raised to uplift the local community. The Club remained financially successful, building a block of flats on the adjoining stand in 1940 which is one of the city's architectural gems. (Blue plaque inscription)
